Champions the development of hospice and palliative care for the people of Manitoba through education, information, advocacy and service. United Way supports the Hospice Companion Program where trained volunteers provide emotional support and practical assistance in the home for individuals and families living with terminal illness. In addition, United Way supports bereavement information, referral, and support services for individuals and families affected by a grief experience.
