Labour
The Deputy-Chair of Labour provides the voice of labour on campaign cabinet. Responsibilities include report on labour issues, participate with union leaders to promote workplace campaigns, promote active support of labour leadership, and assist with recruitment of labour involvement within United Way Cabinet, Board, and committees.

Darlene Dziewit has been President of the Manitoba Federation of Labour since 2004.
Prior to this she was a Union Representative for the United Food & Commercial Workers Union, Local 832 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Darlene first became a union member in 1970 and worked as a Shop Steward and an elected Executive Board member.
In 1977 she began working for the United Food & Commercial Workers Union first as an Organizer and then as a full time Union Representative. She immersed herself in all aspects of the union movement to better serve those she represented.
She worked as a full time Negotiator for UFCW Local 832 between 1988 and 2004.
Darlene has served as a member of the UFCW Canadian Council Advisory Council, as a representative on the Manitoba Federation of Labour Executive Council, as a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba and is currently chairperson of the Manitoba Gaming Control Commission.
She has served in a leadership capacity with both the Provincial and Federal New Democratic Party.
