Advancement Division
The Advancement Division includes a small group of accounts that have the potential to increase their level of support to United Way through strategically focused efforts by campaign volunteers and staff.
In 2007, the Advancement Division raised $308,514.

Gene Dunn is President and CEO of Monarch Industries Ltd. Monarch is a diversified manufacturer of industrial products employing 550 people in Winnipeg and Winkler, Manitoba. The company has been has been recognized as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies for twelve consecutive years and has recently been awarded "50 Best Platinum Club Status".

Mr. Dunn is a member of the Manitoba Business Council and a past member of the Board of Directors. He currently sits on the boards of Ensis Growth Fund, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club, The Boyd Group, The Never Alone Foundation, and the Winnipeg Steelers Hockey Club. He is Past Chairman of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Past Chairman of Balmoral Hall School for Girls, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Mr. Dunn is married with two daughters and loves to spend his leisure time at the family cottage on Lake of the Woods.
