The Co-Chair of Event offers direction and support to plan and execute events that promote and create awareness for the annual campaign, including Kick-Off, report sessions and Celebration. They work with the Co-Chairs of Marketing & Communications to ensure United Way’s brand and message are clearly and effectively communicated in every function of marketing and communications.

Kevin Donnelly is currently the Senior Vice President & General Manager at MTS Centre for True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd.

Donnelly is a Regina, SK native who has spent over twenty years working in the music, venue and concert event business. Previously as President of Winnipeg Enterprises Corporation managing the Winnipeg Arena and CANAD Inns Stadium, and Vice President of Canada’s largest concert promoter, House of Blues Concerts, where he oversaw all of their western Canadian activities.

Having coordinated and promoted such major concerts ranging from The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion and U2 to developing club performers in venues from 300 seat nightclubs to 60,000 seat stadiums, Donnelly made the switch to venue management in the fall of 2001.

Donnelly played a role in the developing and opening of the state-of-the-art MTS Centre in downtown Winnipeg. His role at the MTS Centre involves overseeing the day to day operation of the facility as a well as the event programming. The MTS Centre currently is used approximately 170 per year, with annual attendances exceeding 1 million patrons.

Kevin has been married to his Winnipeg born wife Sharon for 19 years. Together they have 4 kids and reside in St Vital.

An avid runner, Kevin is a regular at the Manitoba Marathon and has qualified for and will participate in the Boston Marathon this coming April.
