Marketing & Communications
The Co-Chair of Marketing & Communications helps to promote the annual campaign through publicity, advertising and the United Way Speakers Bureau, and works with the Event Co-Chairs to plan and execute campaign-related special events.

Peter George is a recognized leader in the Manitoba advertising and design industry. He began his career in 1989 as a graphic designer and co founded Taylor George Design in 1995. Peter is currently President and COO of Manitoba’s largest full service marketing communications firm — McKim Cringan George (MCG). He focuses his efforts on strategic development, taking a participatory role in how clients approach business, marketing and branding.
As a creative director, designer and marketer, Peter has been instrumental in creating and nurturing many successful Manitoban and Canadian brands, as well as helping many small and medium businesses realize their potential and harness their internal marketing abilities. Peter is especially proud of his work in broadcasting, where he was a key player in developing brands for the Women’s Television Network and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. He has also worked extensively in the public sector, developing award-winning brand strategies and marketing campaigns for major crown corporations, government agencies and post-secondary educational institutions. Peter is a hands-on president, as evidenced by his day-to-day work with many key accounts. He also oversees day-to-day operations of MCG and takes a leading role in identifying and exploiting growth opportunities for the agency.
Peter is actively involved in the Winnipeg community. He is president of the Manitoba Opera board of directors and speaks frequently to business groups on branding and marketing. Peter has an executive MBA from Lansbridge University, a Masters in Management from the American Graduate School of Management, and a diploma in design from Red River College.
