Professions Division
The Professions Division includes legal, accounting, engineering and architectural firms, plus dental and medical clinics. In 2007, the workplace segment of the Professions Division raised $745,444 and the direct response segment raised $184,527.

Mr. MacKay is an Assurance and Advisory partner in the corporate audit group in the Winnipeg office of Deloitte. He is the Director of Operations for the Deloitte Winnipeg office Assurance and Advisory Group.

Mr. MacKay has extensive experience in the conduct of financial audits and business advisory services to several major Canadian corporations. He also has significant experience in providing a wide range of business advisory services and assistance to many not-for-profit and owner-managed clients.

As part of the direct responsibility of providing professional services to public companies, Mr. MacKay meets regularly with Audit Committees and senior executives of large public interest entities. He is familiar with corporate governance matters and regularly deals with coordination of professional services provided to clients with global operations.

Mr. MacKay has been actively involved in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba and is currently a member of the Institute's Council and serves on the Office Practice Advisory Committee of the Institute. Rick's past involvement with the Institute includes serving on various committees and serving as a marker of the Uniform Final Examination for a number of years. Rick currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Associates, a group of Manitoba business leaders supporting the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. Rick is a member of the Executive Committee of the Associates and acts as the Treasurer for this organization. He is past Vice-President of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba having served on various National Heart and Stroke committees and was actively involved in the 1999 Pan American Games as Chairman of the Economic Development Committee. He has served on the Finance Committee of the Manitoba Museum and as a member of a number of other local Board's of Directors

Mr. MacKay acted as Provincial Agent in the Province of Manitoba for a number of years for a leading Canadian political party and has participated at a senior level in various areas of public interest issues.

Mr. MacKay is active on various Deloitte & Touche National committees including operations and professional practice matters.

Mr. MacKay is an active member of several clubs and organizations in the Winnipeg area, including the St. Charles Country Club.
