The General Business Division includes an extensive variety of small and medium private sector accounts. In 2007, the General Business Division raised $514,831.

Scott has had a varied work life, beginning his career as a physical education teacher in Winnipeg and progressing into the world of business after six years of teaching, primarily at the Junior High School level. Moving into the print media sector working for national entities such as Quebecor, The Globe and Mail and Transcontinental Media in progressively more senior roles, Scott excelled at growing and leading customer focused teams. In 1998 Scott joined MTS and their media subsidiary. Over almost 9 years at MTS, Scott held various senior leadership positions with the last several years overseeing the operations of MTS Media. As Vice President and General Manager at MTS Media the company saw outstanding growth and enjoyed industry leading metrics. With the divestiture of MTS Media late in 2006 Scott has moved into a new challenging sector as Vice President, Executive Search at People First HR Services.

Throughout his work life Scott has been involved in volunteer and charitable activities. From coaching various sport teams in both the school system and the community to being a director and later chairman of a Montessori school for several years. For the last eight years Scott has been a volunteer for the Canadian Diabetes Association and has also volunteered for the Canadian Cancer Society. Most recently Scott serves on the board of directors for the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation.

Scott and his wife Barb live in south St. Vital with their two children, Jessica and Taylor.
