Erma Chapman is Executive Director for Macdonald Youth Services (MYS) - a registered charitable organization that provides a range of support services to individuals, families and communities, with an emphasis on children and youth. Erma holds a certificate in non-profit management and a PhD in psychology from the University of Manitoba.

Erma has over 25 years' experience in Manitoba’s social services sector. Prior to joining MYS in 2002, she worked for the Child Protection branch of Manitoba Family Services and Housing, where she conducted quality assurance reviews, monitored service agreements, and provided consultation with Child and Family Services agencies. She also evaluated residential group facilities for children and youth, and steered the development and delivery of a training program for youth care workers.

Over the years, Erma has enjoyed a range of volunteer activities, serving in leadership roles for the Canadian Hemophilia Society, as well as on provincial and federal AIDS advisory committees. She also participated in local, national and international efforts to develop safer blood systems.

Mother to a busy 14-year-old daughter, Erma is in the "chauffeuring" stage of parenting.
