United Way’s Schools Division
The Schools Division includes public and independent schools and school division offices throughout Winnipeg. In 2008, the Schools Division raised $453,459.

Gordon Campbell is the Principal of École St. Avila, a K-6 French immersion school. He recently presented at an international conference on language learning in Stockholm, Sweden and at the national conference for French immersion teachers in Saskatoon.

Gordon is Past President of the Alliance for Arts Education in Manitoba and a member of the executive of AMDI, l'association Manitobaine des directeurs/directrices en immersion.

He has also worked closely with Winnipeg Harvest to develop the Empty Bowls Project, which has become the primary fundraiser for Harvest. This project brings the community together and helps school children understand more about poverty in our city and gives them ways to help others.
