United Way's Industry Division
The Industry Division includes mid-sized companies with a broad mix of accounts in the automotive, transportation, manufacturing, services, construction and retail sectors. In 2008, the Industry Division raised $1,134,195.

Ruth Kristjanson has been Vice President of Corporate Relations at Manitoba Hydro since 2004.

Prior to that, she held a variety of positions within the utility (Division Manager, Aboriginal Relations; Executive Assistant to the President and CEO; and Manager of Economic Analysis). Before joining Manitoba Hydro, Ruth was a Senior Economist with the Manitoba Government.

Ruth completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg (BA Hons, economics) and her graduate work at the University of Western Ontario (MA, economics).

In addition to her role on the campaign cabinet, Ruth has been involved in a number of United Way fundraising activities.
