Chair of United Way's Board of Trustees
Each year, the Campaign Chair is responsible for recruiting United Way’s Campaign Cabinet and leading the annual fundraising campaign.

Allan Fineblit was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1974 and practiced law with the firm of Buchwald Asper. In 1986 he was appointed Executive Director of Legal Aid Manitoba, and in 1996, Assistant Deputy Attorney General for the Province of Manitoba. He accepted his current position as CEO of the Law Society of Manitoba in 1998.

Allan has a BA and LL.B. from the University of Manitoba and was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1998. He served as CEO of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2004.

In addition to his role on the Board of Trustees, Allan has chaired United Way's Community Investment Committee and served as the organization’s honorary solicitor. He recently completed a four-year term as Vice Chair of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s Board and currently sits on the Winnipeg Citizens Walk of Fame Selection Committee.

Allan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Legal Information Institute and Treasurer of the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education.
