United Way's Government Division
The Government Division includes federal, provincial and civic governments, plus agencies, boards, Crowns, and 17 Wing/CFB Winnipeg.

As President of the Winnipeg Association of Public Service Officers (WAPSO), Andrew Weremy represents approximately 600 middle management and professional staff working for the City of Winnipeg. WAPSO is also a member of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers. Andrew is responsible for ensuring the Association represents its members to their employer and meets the membership’s objectives.
Andrew has worked in the City of Winnipeg for approximately 25 years in a variety of engineering and leadership roles. He also spent several years working in the Continuous Improvement initiative with the City and has volunteered on several quality initiatives with the Manitoba Quality Network.
Andrew is active in his community: as Past Chair of his local Parent Advisory Council, and in various coaching/management roles for youth sports programs.
Born in Winnipeg and raised in rural Manitoba, Andrew attended the University of Manitoba where he earned a bachelor of science in engineering and a master of engineering degree.
