The Technology and Finance Division includes insurance, investment and technology companies, as well as credit unions and call centres.

As Vice President of HP Enterprise Services (formerly EDS Manitoba), Cathy Nieroda is the single point of accountability for sales and delivery of all HP business in Manitoba. Cathy is responsible for building and maintaining strong executive relationships and for developing an overall business plan to ensure profitable growth. HP’s Manitoba team is currently comprised of more than 400 people.

Cathy has over 27 years’ experience in information technology and government industry. She began her career at HP in 1996 as an Account Executive and served as one of five executives on the HP Canada board from 2004 to 2008. Prior to HP, Cathy spent 14 years with IBM Global Services in a variety of roles.

Cathy is actively involved in the community; as a board member and incoming Chair of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Manitoba; a past board and executive member of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce; and an alumnus of Leadership Winnipeg. Cathy also helped promote information technology careers to young women through Women in Technology and Junior Achievement. As well, she has successfully introduced several EDS global programs, including EDS Global Volunteer Day, the EDS Foundation, and EDS Technology Grants.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Cathy earned a B.Sc. from the University of Winnipeg and received the gold medal in mathematics.
