United Way's Advancement Division
The Advancement Division includes a small group of accounts with huge potential to broaden United Way’s impact in the community.

Peter Jessiman is President of Wescan Capital Inc., a family owned holding company with interests in transportation, logistics, real estate and financial investments. He serves on numerous corporate and non-profit boards including Wescan Capital/Bison Transport Inc., Registry Capital (Barbados) Inc. (Chair), the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party Fund (Chair), Balmoral Hall School, and Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation Council. He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

In addition to business and philanthropic commitments, Peter is currently completing a professional certification (ICD.D) with the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors, and will graduate from Harvard Business School (OPM) in March 2011. He lives in Winnipeg with his wife Dana and two daughters Alexandra and Cady.
