United Way's Industry Division
The Industry Division includes mid-sized companies with a broad mix of accounts in the automotive, transportation, manufacturing, services, construction and retail sectors.

Sean Barnes is District Manager (Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario) for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. - the largest general contracting firm in Canada, with projects throughout North America totalling $6 billion each year. In 2010, PCL was named one of Hewitt Associates’ 50 Best Employers in Canada.
Sean grew up in Stonewall, MB and graduated from Red River College as a Civil Engineering Technologist. He has been employed by PCL for 24 years starting with the Winnipeg Air Terminal Building Expansion Project in 1985. In 1999 he transferred to PCL’s Toronto office where he managed high profile projects including the Niagara Fallsview Casino, the Ted Rogers School of Business at Ryerson University, the Durham Courthouse, and phase 3 of the Atlantis Resort Expansion in the Bahamas. He returned home in 2008 to manage PCL’s operations in Manitoba. PCL recently completed the Manitoba Hydro office tower and is well underway with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The company is also set to begin the Disraeli Bridges Project.
In addition to his role on United Way’s campaign cabinet, Sean is a board member for the Winnipeg Construction Association. He also coaches minor hockey in East St. Paul.
