A message from the Chair

Every day, in every corner of our city, incredible changes are taking place.

Kids at risk of becoming involved in crime, drugs and life on the streets are instead getting involved in mentorship, recreation and after school programs that put them on the path to success in both school and life.

People whose lives have been affected by poverty are regaining confidence, control and the capacity to take care of themselves, their families and their financial futures.

Neighbours challenged by issues of crime, violence and isolation are connecting with one another to build safer, healthier communities.

All this is made possible because each year, generous Winnipeggers just like you support United Way of Winnipeg's annual campaign.

This year, it will take ALL Winnipeggers working together to ensure United Way's essential network of social programs and services is available when our friends, family, neighbours and co-workers need it most.

We all have a role to play, a responsibility to act and the capacity to inspire and effect change throughout our community.

Now more than ever, your support for United Way is a gift of hope, ensuring our community remains stable today and can emerge stronger tomorrow.

Winnipeg, this is your call to action. Let's build on the momentum created by thousands of Winnipeggers who have already gotten involved and are setting an example for others. Now it's up to the rest of us to get on board.
