United Way's fourth and final report session on December 7th revealed that we've crossed the $15 million mark on our way to our most ambitious campaign goal ever.

Report Session 4 imgReport session 4 is also a public celebration of the more than 50 Sponsored Executives who are responsible for fulfilling that fundraising promise of $16.5 million made to Winnipeg back at September's kick-off.

Loaned to United Way by community minded employers for the duration of the campaign, they are the driving force behind workplace campaigns.

"They work hand-in-hand with the Employee Campaign Chairs and Canvassers to ensure that each and every workplace campaign is successful, fun and meaningful," said Heather Grant-Jury, 2007 Campaign Chair.

Anne Boyko, a Sponsored Executive from the Winnipeg Police Service, delivered the keynote on behalf of her colleagues.

"Because of this opportunity, because of these experiences, I'll approach my job a little differently, be even more compassionate to those in need, be proud to live in this great city. Any one of the SE's could stand up here and tell you what I am telling you now. This experience has changed our lives."

The Sponsored Executives, with the generous support of Winnipeggers, have brought United Way to 94 per cent of its fundraising goal. With just 5 weeks to go, we all need to work together to raise that final $1.1 million.
