One need only look at Tournament Chair Greg Bieber's wide grin and thumbs up to gauge the success of the16th Annual United Way of Winnipeg Golf Tournament, held Wednesday, August 6 at Pine Ridge Golf Club.
"We had perfect weather and an enthusiastic crowd," said Bieber. "It was a wonderful experience and I’m honoured to have taken part as Chair."
The event raised a record $64 000 - more than $25 000 over last year - bringing the total funds raised to almost $400 000 since the tournament's inception.
The tournament also broke a record for attendance. A total of 157 golfers on 39 teams enjoyed a spectacular day in ideal conditions.
Thank you to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors whose hard work and generosity continue to drive the success of this event.
