New training session format receives thumbs up from United Way campaign volunteers.
Sixty Employee Campaign Chairs (ECCs) gathered at Canad Inns Club Regent to participate in the 1st Annual ECC Conference hosted by United Way.
An ECC is an employee within the workplace who coordinates campaign events and activities. They are the ambassadors of United Way and a vital link in working together to create opportunities for a better life for everyone.
At the start of campaign season, United Way offers all ECCs support and training. Until recently this had taken place as small-group sessions, but feedback from these spurred development of a new conference format.
The conference is a chance for ECCs to find out what's new with United Way and the campaign, exchange successes, brainstorm and just have fun.
"It was a great networking opportunity and everyone came away with new ideas for their campaigns," said Robyn Peters, ECC conference organizer.
Ten veteran ECCs helped plan and coordinate the session and all attendees said they look forward to attending again next year.
Thank you Canad Inns for sponsoring the event, and to all who came out to speak, share and facilitate.
