Esso supports United Way with new $25 gift card

It's the gift that keeps on giving! A special limited edition $25 Esso United Way Gift Card is raising money for United Way.

Until October 25, 2009, Imperial Oil will donate $2 for every Esso United Way Gift Card purchased.

Gift cards are available at all participating Esso branded retail stores throughout Canada or by clicking here. Esso is also encouraging customers purchasing $50 or $100 gift cards to instead purchase two or four $25 Esso gift cards to raise even more money for United Way.

In Winnipeg, proceeds will support United Way programs and strategies that:

provide kids with alternatives to crime, drugs and life on the streets;
reduce poverty; and
build safer, healthier neighbourhoods

The United Way Gift Card program celebrates Imperial Oil's longstanding commitment to United Way - one that spans 25 years.

On Friday, August 28, Esso will also be celebrating the grand opening of On the Run stores in Winnipeg by donating one cent per litre of gas sold at participating locations. Watch for more details on the event at http://www.unitedwaywinnipeg.mb.ca/.
