Days before United Way of Winnipeg's city-wide campaign kickoff,
the Bombers demonstrated they are true blue fans of lasting change and better lives for all Winnipeggers when they presented 2009 Campaign Chair Jeff Zabudsky with a cheque for
$5000.
The presentation took place at half-time during the Manitoba Lotteries Banjo Bowl game against Saskatchewan on Sunday, September 13. The money will help United Way ensure an essential network of social programs and services is available when our friends, family, neighbours and co-workers need it most.
"We're grateful for the Bomber's continued support," said Zabudsky. "This year,
it's all about teamwork - we encourage all Winnipeggers from every corner of the city to get involved in making a difference in our community."
Thank you to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers organization for your generosity and leadership.
Without you there would be no way. Go Blue!
