Pirates Party for a Purpose

A swashbuckling good time was had by all during the third annual Pirates at the Pier event on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Pony Corral Pier 7 in Winnipeg.

Perhaps borrowing from Davy Jones' locker, many came dressed for the occasion, and prizes were awarded for the best costume. The evening's events also included a Jail Bail that gave partygoers a chance to send friends to the brig and likewise free them, all for the cost of an added donation.
The Rockalypso Band provided live entertainment and a pig roast provided the tasty grub.
Thank you to owner Peter Ginakes and the crew at Pony Corral Pier 7 for all your hard work and generosity. Thank you also to United Way Sponsored Executives Kelly Burton, Rebecca Reykdal and Rebecca Proctor for providing the additional hands on deck.
Your efforts are helping create lasting change that will benefit all Winnipeggers.
