United Way of Winnipeg's 2008/09 Annual Report is now available online.
Officially released at our Annual General Meeting & Luncheon on June 18, this year's Annual Report is a celebration of our community's unique spirit and the ways in which we are working together to create opportunities for a better life for everyone.
Nearly 900 Winnipeggers joined United Way at the Convention Centre to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year.
The AGM was also an opportunity to pay tribute to organizations and affiliated unions that, through the combined efforts of their employees and members, each contributed $1,000,000 or more to United Ways across the country. In 2008, 97 organizations earned the Thanks a Million award. Bob Silver, United Way of Winnipeg's 2008 campaign chair presented plaques to the four organizations with head offices here in Winnipeg.- CanWest
