United Way's Day of Caring program is always looking for volunteers from workplaces and organizations who are interested in spending a day volunteering with one of our non-profit agency partners. Here are some of the highly rewarding volunteering opportunities that will benefit your workplace or group, our agency partners and our community.

Hans Kai Spa Day - Nor'West Co-op Community Health Centre promotes health and well-being for residents living in the Inkster community. Nor'West is seeking the assistance of 10 volunteers in organizing a spa/makeover day for 10 ladies, ranging from late 40s to early 60s, as a celebration of their one year anniversary in the Hans Kai group, a community led health program for people wanting to maintain or improve their health. Volunteers will be responsible for securing professionals from the field who would be willing to volunteer their time for this event. On the day of the event, volunteers will give the ladies the royal treatment by assisting them in going from station to station, serving them snacks and coffee, organizing craft activities, etc. This is a one-of-a-kind Day of Caring opportunity that will allow volunteers to see the direct impact of their work.
