Campaign 2008 Kicks Off With Plane Pull 5: United

United Way of Winnipeg's 2008 Campaign got off to a flying start on Friday, September 19, 2008 with Plane Pull 5: United.

Hosted by Hot 103 FM morning show hosts Ace Burpee and Chrissy Troy, the event began with Campaign Chair Bob Silver announcing an ambitious 2008 fundraising goal of $17 875 768.

Following a barbeque lunch, 40 teams from local workplaces took to the runway at Stevenson Aviation to test their might hauling a Boeing 7-27 in the Competitive Pull and a large airport snowplow in the Fun Pull. Prizes were also awarded for best cheer and team theme. Check out the winners below.
