Campaign Chair's Award - Non-business
United Way's most prestigious award recognizes workplace campaigns that achieve:- A 10% or more increase in donations over the previous year
- A participation rate of 70% or more employees
- A donation average of $104 or more per employee
- Three or more Leadership donors for organizations with 40-plus employees
- One or more Leadership donors for organizations with less than 40 employees
- You complete your United Way workplace campaign before the official kickoff in September
- You host a United Way Speakers' Bureau presentation during your campaign
- You achieve United Way Quantum Leap status by increasing employee participation by at least 25% and employee donations by at least $1000 over last year
- Your workplace campaign committee includes at least one union member
- Your CEO or another employee participates in a United Way focus group, panel discussion or similar volunteer activity
- Your employees have participated in at least one United Way Day of Caring in the past three years
- Your organization has taken part in United Way's Leadership Development Program at least once in the past three years
- Your business matches employee donations dollar for dollar
- Your business makes a corporate gift of $3000 or more
- You make your corporate gift prior to United Way's official campaign kickoff in September
- You achieve Corporate Quantum Leap status by increasing your corporate gift by 25% and at least $1000 over last year
If your workplace campaign qualifies, submit a nomination that also explains, in 250 words or less, how your organization's community spirit shines.
*a Leadership donor is someone whose gift exceeds $1200 in a single year
