A Place Where Kids can Just be Kids

Ian Gerbrandt's goal is to get at-risk children and youth throughout Winnipeg to pick up basketballs, books or paintbrushes in place of the knives his staff has confiscated in the past. The Director of Programs for Boys & Girls Clubs of Winnipeg - a United Way agency partner - has seen countless kids turn their lives around with the help of role models and programs that teach self-esteem and confidence in a safe, positive environment.
