Legacy Circle

"True philanthropy is about the size of your heart, not your bank account", says Les Wiens, a United Way Legacy Circle member. "You don't need a Hollywood-sized estate to make a positive impact."
Once a person has let United Way know they've left a gift in their Will, with their permission, and as a way of encouraging others to consider making a bequest, we will list their name among the growing number of people who have left gifts in their Wills to United Way of Winnipeg as members of our Legacy Circle.

As a financial planner, Les know a great deal about investments and the philosophy of philanthropy. Over the years, he has helped orchestrate a wide array of personal philanthropic plans for his clients. As Les says, "It's really all about finding the best fit for you and your family given your own personal financial situation."

Les and Terry decided to increase their commitment to United Way by leaving a bequest in their Will. As Terry says, "This is an ideal opportunity for us to leave our own personal legacy for the benefit of future Winnipeggers."
